Water Quality and Microbial Abnormalities

Increased Conductivity/TDS: Decreased effluent quality may indicate a damaged or malfunctioning RO membrane, requiring inspection and cleaning.

Excessive Total Bacterial Count: A rise in bacterial count monitoring data from <10 to 80-100 in the pure water system indicates severe microbial contamination, requiring system disinfection and cleaning.

Odor or Turbidity: Indicates failure of the post-activated carbon filter or biofilm growth within the system, requiring filter media replacement and CIP cleaning.

Abnormal Operating Status

Repeated Equipment Start-up and Shutdown: May be due to insufficient raw water pressure, check valve depressurization, or high-pressure switch malfunction, or pressure fluctuations caused by internal system contamination.

Abnormal Noise or Leakage: Check for aging of the check valve and high-pressure pump, and for blockages or corrosion in the piping.

Abnormal Wastewater Flow: No concentrated water discharge or the TDS value of the pure water being the same as tap water may indicate a malfunctioning RO membrane, requiring investigation and cleaning.
