The installation of a home pure water system requires following a scientific process and paying attention to key details to ensure stable operation of the equipment and safe water quality. The following is an installation guide based on mainstream RO reverse osmosis water purifiers:

Home Pure Water System Installation Steps

Preparation Stage

Check that all accessories are complete: including the main unit, PE pipes, filter cartridges, gooseneck faucet, three-way valve, ball valve, wrench, etc.

Determine the installation location: Usually, choose a cabinet under the kitchen sink, ensuring sufficient space to accommodate the main unit and pressure tank (for small flow models), and proximity to a power outlet and water inlet/outlet.

Close the main water valve, shut off the water supply. To prevent leaks during installation, the main water supply valve must be turned off first.

Connect the water inlet system

Install a stainless steel three-way connector at the existing angle valve. Connect the main line to the existing water line, and connect the branch line to the water purifier's inlet.

Wrap all threaded joints with Teflon tape (12–15 turns), tightening torque to 2.5–3.0 Nm to prevent leakage.

Drilling and Sealing

Drill holes in the countertop or sidewall for the PE pipe to connect the faucet.

Seal the edges of the drilled holes with silicone sealant to prevent future water seepage and cabinet rot.
